Alcalagres has a policy of permanent investment in R&D, thus being able to offer a wide range of models for all places where the required slip resistance values must be met. The need to avoid slips and falls is imperative outdoors, in indoor wet areas, sidewalks, squares, lobbies, industrial kitchens, collective bathrooms, swimming pools, ...

The Technical Building Code, meeting the demand for quality in buildings and urban spaces, regulates requirements that directly affect ceramic tiles in Basic Document SU 1 on safety against the risk of falls. The established method for determining the slip resistance coefficients is that of the Pendulum according to standard UNE-ENV 12633-2003. The classification of the floor tile according to its slip resistance value (Rd) determines its Class, which, depending on its location, is required by the different standards.
